What makes Lomond Letting different is that the business was not originally created through a traditional estate agency background — it was built by landlords who felt there was a gap in the market for a more proactive, hands-on approach to lettings and property management.
Prior to the formation of Lomond Letting in 2009, Elizabeth Johnston and Christopher Martin, both portfolio landlords and directors of the company, struggled to find an agent that delivered the level of communication, care, professionalism, and proactive management they believed landlords should expect. Rather than accept the standard that existed within the market, Lomond Letting was formed with the aim of delivering a more structured, responsive, and landlord-focused service.
That landlord mindset still forms the foundation of how the company operates today.
As portfolio landlords themselves, Elizabeth and Christopher understand first-hand the pressures involved in property investment, including tenant quality, maintenance costs, compliance obligations, void periods, communication, and long-term asset protection.
Craig Johnston has played a central role in helping guide and develop Lomond Letting from its infancy into a market-leading, multi-award-winning agency.
Having been heavily involved in the day-to-day growth and operation of the business over many years, Craig has helped shape much of the company’s operational structure, systems, marketing approach, and overall management philosophy.
Through direct involvement in thousands of tenancies, he has developed extensive hands-on experience across tenant management, compliance, applicant vetting, dispute resolution, inspections, landlord communication, and proactive property management.
This experience has helped shape Lomond Letting’s overall philosophy:
reduce landlord risk, improve communication, secure stronger tenants, and treat every property with the same level of care and attention as if it were our own.
Today, Lomond Letting remains heavily focused on its core markets within G82, G83 and G84, where the business has built a strong reputation and extensive local knowledge over many years.
However, where operationally possible and where landlords require our services, we are also happy to support clients further afield, particularly those with growing portfolios or ongoing long-term relationships with the business.
Today, Lomond Letting combines practical landlord experience with structured operational systems, professional marketing, and proactive management to deliver what we believe should be the standard within modern lettings and property management.
